These bad taste bakes prove there’s a cake for every occasion… but we doubt Mary Berry would rate them

WE Brits love our cakes – just look at the phenomenal success of Bake Off as proof of the, er, pudding.

They’re the focus of attention at countless celebrations, decorated with themes to suit any occasion.

But no matter how sweet the icing, sometimes the subject matter can descend into bad taste.

Yesterday we revealed pictures of a cake made specially for a relative of cop killer Dale Cregan, which featured drugs and piles of cash as decoration.

Shockingly, Cregan’s sister had ordered the cake for a family member’s SIXTEENTH birthday, and posted pictures of it on Instagram with the caption “Absolutely buzzin”.

Gangster Cregan was jailed for life in 2012 for the murder of two WPCs in Manchester. His sister Kelly shrugged off the questionable theme of the cake as a “gimmick”.
