AN eye-opening new documentary lifts the lid on what some British Muslims really think about ISIS.
The Channel 4 programme reveals how the lives of citizens of the UK have changed since the extremist organisation began launching its attacks.
Extremely British Muslims explores the impact that the ISIS atrocities have had on communities in the UK.
Mr Afzal, chairman at the Birmingham Central Mosque, held a minutes silent after the tragic Paris attacks of 2015.
He then told his congregation: “Unfortunately in every section of community there is a small element of extremism.
“And I think as law-abiding citizens we should condemn it whenever the terrorism happens.”
But as pictures of the Paris attackers, born and raised in Europe, emerged, British Muslims were brought into the spotlight.
The Channel 4 show asked brothers Nav and Waz if there had been a shift in attitude over the past few years.
British Muslim Nav explained: “In general, when people do ask a Muslim person about how you feel about ISIS and that, the answer’s quite simple really.
“We feel exactly the same as the rest of the British public, and we do feel a bit alien when people separate us from everyone else like we should feel any different.
“Obviously we feel don't safe just like anyone else”.

The documentary also asked the brothers why they thought people were going to Syria and Iraq to support the terrorist organisation.
Waz said: “Ex bad boys that still have that gang mentality.
“And if you want to be in a gang, what’s the biggest gang in the world? It’s ISIS…
“They think they can get an AK and get forgiven by God as well.”
Waz also believes that many turn to ISIS because they feel they have something missing in life.
He added: “And a lot of these guys, I’ll be honest with you, it’s because they don’t have friends.
“They’ve had a messed up childhood or something like that.
“They think finally I can be part of something, I can be part of something powerful…
“They’re just trying to get a sense of purpose in live.”
The documentary has sparked debate over the past weeks.
