The Huis Ten Bosch theme park owns a large uninhabited island near its amusement ground on the edge of Nagasaki.

The bubble-shaped hotel rooms would start off at a fixed point on the island, then set sail on the water during the night and arrive at a new piece of land by morning.

Guests would then have the day to explore their new surroundings before getting back into the capsule in the evening for another adventure.

The two-storey bubbles would sleep up to four people comfortably and would cost from £200 a night.

The theme park is oping to start work on the hotel by the end of the year.
