Kourting controversy

Amanda Holden addresses the Kourtney Kardashian controversy over four-year-old daughter Penelope’s lip ring

YOU know the old good luck saying: “break a leg”?

Well, please no one say that to me and the Stepping Out girls at the moment, as one of the cast, my bezzie Tamzin Outhwaite, has already suffered a stress fracture from so much rehearsing, and is hobbling about on crutches, poor thing!

Tamzin’s doctor has banned her from performing for the next couple of weeks and she’s absolutely gutted – as am I.

Because we’re such a clique, it doesn’t feel the same going on stage every night without her.

Fortunately, the day’s been saved by actress Anna-Jane Casey (sister of Natalie, who’s also in the show) who learnt all the lines and dance steps at super-fast speed, and is now part of the gang until Tamzin can return. Phew!

We’ve also been busy filming a special segment for Comic Relief later this month, as part of a dance competition that will be on the live show.

I can’t tell you any more than that, but don’t miss it!

I adore that there’s a Love Actually sequel being made for Comic Relief, too. I can’t wait to watch.

Of course, it goes without saying how sad it is that the very talented Alan Rickman won’t be part of it.

SHH...

Have you seen Kourtney Kardashian's Instagram pic of her four-year-old daughter Penelope wearing a lip ring?

Although I think it's probably a fake and KK might just be trying to court controversy, I believe parents should resist pleas for piercings and tattoos for as long as possible.

I'm a pretty relaxed mum, but even allowing Lexi to have her ears pierced this year, aged 11, was a big deal and I had to convince Chris - he wanted her to wait until she was 16!

I love Red Nose Day.

Every year I think it can’t get any better, but it does!

Parts of it are so heartbreaking, but it’s a great reminder of how lucky we are.

I’ll be digging deep to donate and hope you will, too.

Last week, I was reunited with the Britain’s Got Talent team at The Palladium in London to film the final stage of the show before the live programmes begin.

It’s really tough because we’re sending some acts home, and seeing people’s disappointment never gets any easier.

Alesha and I always keep the tissues handy.

Simon, Alesha and I brought our kids in to watch the filming and it turns out that Eric Cowell has a crush on my daughter Hollie!

He follows her round all the time and is such a flirt.

Like father like son, I told his dad.
