Here’s why the top porn search in the UK is worrying
ANYONE who goes online searching for porn knows there's something for everyone from the vanilla (very innocent) to the vile.
But PornHub have revealed online searches have changed in recent years - and STEPMUM is now the world's top keyword punters search for when looking for X-rated videos.
Why might this be such a popular search?
When it comes to porn, people often look for forbidden fruit. Something they can’t have in reality – one reason why anal sex was once one of the most popular searches.
Now that many people actually get naughty with the nether regions, it’s less forbidden fruit and more acceptable.
Whereas something suggestive of incest – even though you’re not biologically related to your stepmum – floats men’s boats as something they’d never actually do but want to see onscreen.
Why are fantasies so appealing?
That’s the thing about fantasies and how they can be played out by watching the relevant porn.
It means you can visualise what you’d never do in real life.
Like the woman who recently emailed my website asking me if she was a ‘perve’ because she’d seen some porn about a woman having sex with a tramp in a back alley. And it turned her on!
My question to someone like her is – but would you really do it? And I’m 100% convinced she wouldn’t go pick up a tramp in a back alley. But we do like to push boundaries in fantasies.
Other popular searches reveal so much –
Lesbian sex is always a favourite and came a red hot second. Really no surprise it’s a popular search when women seek this out too.
Both men and women confide they find women together extremely sensual and erotic.
Men often fantasise about getting in there and pleasuring two women at once. Yeah, right, when so many are bewildered by how to pleasure their own partner.
Women often fantasise about women because it’d just be so different to being with a big, hairy guy.
And some undoubtedly fantasise they might finally have an orgasm if they had sex with a woman who understands their body.
Those worrying about not climaxing can read up on my seven ways women can guarantee an orgasm when having sex.
Hot risers in the list include porn searches for ‘black’ and ‘stepsister’.
We live in such a multicultural society that it’s no wonder many fantasise about sleeping with someone of colour.
It’s not about forbidden fruit, but probably more about simply wanting to expand your sexual experiences. Diversity’s a great thing after all.
Porn use has become a worry if -
- If you/your partner can only get aroused using porn then it’s become a problem. You should encourage the person who’s reliant on porn to either go cold turkey, or step back a bit from it, or seek help.
- If you’re asking your partner to do what you’ve seen in porn, you need to seriously think about your expectations. What you see in a porn film’s warping what real sex is like.
- If no longer interested in having sex with your partner and all you want to do is masturbate to porn.
- If you’re using increasingly strong porn, or anything illegal, to get aroused.
- If you’re spending money you don’t have on pay-per- view porn sites. See your GP who may refer you to counselling or check out an organisation like sex addicts anonymous.
