EastEnders’ bad boy Danny Dyer’s most outrageous moments revealed, from threatening to ‘CHOKE’ Jeremy Kyle to having three-way romp behind his missus’ back
HE’S known for his explosive celebrity feuds, colourful love life and outrageous outbursts almost as much as his glittering soap career.
But it seems Danny Dyer’s controversial antics have finally caught up with him.
The 39-year-old EastEnders star has been forced to quit the programme after show bosses told him to “sort his life out”.
The party animal actor — Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter in the BBC series —is expected to be off work for a number of weeks, say insiders.
Concerns were raised following Danny’s behaviour at the National Television Awards earlier this month, where he fell off the wagon after an attempt to quit alcohol at the start of the year.
An insider on EastEnders told The Sun: “The producers are concerned about him for a number of reasons.
“It was clear to onlookers he appeared very drunk at the NTAs. It is best that he takes some time out to sort his life out. He appears to be exhausted”.
They added: “As a result, Danny is not filming on the show at all. There is an enforced break that is expected to last a number of weeks.
“At the end of the day, he remains the biggest star of the show — so everyone is determined to get him back to his best.”
But this isn’t the first time Danny has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The Football Factory star has had high-profile spats with everyone from Jeremy Kyle to Mark Wright and Katie Hopkins.
Danny slammed talk-show host Jezza during an interview on BBC Radio 1 in November 2015.
When DJ Nick Grimshaw asked him what his favourite rant from his controversial book, Life Lessons from the East End, Danny said: "Jeremy Kyle. He gets it."
He continued: "If he swings a right-hander at me we'll see what happens. I'll just choke him."
In a separate interview, he raged: “I despise Jeremy Kyle, every bone in his stuck-up, sanctimonious, two-faced body. He licks his mobile phone for comfort.”
Meanwhile, Danny compared controversial columnist Katie Hopkins to “a tampon” in March 2015 after she made unsavoury comments about his marriage.
He tweeted a picture of the outspoken reality star in her underwear, with the caption: “Last one… as I’m in a jolly good mood…. Imagine if a tampon was to have a face…. @KTHopkins happy Tuesday ;).”
But his most notorious row has been with Essex reality star Mark Wright.
The pair reportedly got into a blazing row after Justin Bieber’s headline set at V Festival last August, with security forced to intervene as their pals got involved.
Danny was later pictured with a black eye.
Prior to the spat, the pair had exchanged tense tweets with the former Towie star’s brother Josh – who was watching football with his sibling at the time – in which they referred to an incident in the changing room of a charity football match.
Danny later confirmed that Mark wasn’t involved in the physical confrontation, but asked him to name his “snakey” mates.
Danny has also come to blows with ex-Strictly star James Jordan (calling him an “irritating c***”), former EastEnders co-star Ricky Norwood (“wasted talent”) and Lord Sugar (“You’re very rich but you have the looks, wit and charm of a slightly comatosed tramp”).
Danny’s love life has also been the source of much discussion.
In 2009 he admitted to cheating on long-term partner Joanne Mas, 40, telling : “I’ve done so many things I’ve regretted.
“I’ve royally f***ed up with my missus. I got caught doing something I shouldn't have.
"I hate myself for what I did and for being tempted by forbidden fruit."
In January 2014, Danny cheated on his partner in a threesome after meeting Cara Chamberlain and her pal at a party in a club, reported .
After bedding the pair, he reportedly gave each of them one of his T-shirts as a “gift” to remember their night.
The news broke just weeks after he spoke about having to resist women who constantly throw themselves at him.
He confessed: “I have birds throwing themselves at me every f***ing day I leave the house – of course.
“But I know it’s bulls*** and b*****ks. I like the power of it. As long as you don’t go there it’s fine.”
Danny was caught cheating again, in June 2014, after being pictured naked by a starstruck 21-year-old who he spent the night with.

Danny wed wife Joanne last year after she proposed to him.

Danny’s daughter Sunnie landed him in hot water after revealing he pulls sickies from EastEnders and “lays around on the sofa all day”.

Danny admitted he could be in trouble with EastEnders’ boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins saying: “I’m in trouble now. I hope he’s not watching.”
He then added: “I knew I should never have done this show.”
Danny has also courted controversy after admitting to doing drugs, airing his bizarre views on terrorism and harrowing advice he gave in an agony uncle column.
The Business actor wrote in his autobiography: "I've always taken drugs and probably always will."
He told that cocaine should be “legalised” as its “easier to get than a part for your boiler in this country”.
Danny’s comments on the 9/11 atrocity sparked a backlash from some angry fans.
He tweeted that it was "freaking his nut that it was 11 years since them slags smashed into the twin towers.";
Later he explained: “Slag means dirty, horrible, nasty – it's just a terminology for not very nice person.
"So I called them terrorists slags and I had a real backlash. It's the way I speak, but people said I was being disrespectful to the dead.
"How was I being disrespectful? For me, Twitter is a thought, an idea.
"It's not me selling a product like most f***ing celebrities – that fake s***.
"I say what I think and I get respected for it or I get assassinated for that."
In 2010, Danny was axed from his Zoo Magazine agony uncle column when he suggested a reader should scar his girlfriend for dumping him.
The actor said the comment had been made as a “tasteless joke” to the journalist who ghosted the column, and insisted he instantly regretted it.
In his autobiography, Danny wrote: "It's a joke - a bad joke - I said to the journalist, 'Maybe he should cut her face so no one would want her.'
"Why did I say that? Because it's a ridiculous thing to say. It was a rubbish tasteless joke.
"Even as it came out of my mouth I wasn't proud of it. I was more embarrassed than anything. But I never thought for a second that (the Zoo journalist) would stick it in the magazine.”
Danny’s EastEnders departure is a major concern for producers as he is central to storylines on the show, filmed about six weeks in advance.
The Walford insider told The Sun: “Having Danny off is a total nightmare — it causes total chaos for both the writers and producers.
“The storylines are worked out months in advance and no one was expecting him to be off. A lot of scripts had to be torn up and it’s caused a lot of behind-the-scenes chaos.
“It’s all anyone is talking about on set.”
Danny, who makes £400,000 a year and has a contract until October, admitted to The Sun he was back on booze backstage at the NTAs last month.
Carrying a glass of beer, he said: “The beginning of the year is a month ago now.
“I mean, I did try to give up drinking but — as you can see — I’m now sucking on a lager.”
Last night an EastEnders spokeswoman declined to comment.
