The Chase contestant slammed for walking away with £12k after taking huge minus offer of £6,000

In an eventful episode, Bradley Walsh also had viewers in hysterics as he begged The Governess to TWERK

THERE'S nothing that unites the Gang of Chase on Twitter like a contestant taking a minus offer.

That's exactly what happened tonight, when nervous Kelly opted for -£6,000 when taking on chaser Anne Hegarty.

After being warned by host Bradley Walsh that The Governess was on good form, the 31-year-old administrator from Somerset opted against playing for the £4,000 she won in the cash builder.

Instead, she chose to play for minus £6,000.

She ended up making it home with one life to spare, though Bradley admitted he would have made "the same decision".

The team then went on to win an incredible £36,000 in the final chase, with Kelly taking home an £12,000 slice.

Viewers were furious, with one branding her "the algae pond scum of humanity".

Others suggested she was a "thief", while another claimed a part of them died every time someone takes the minus offer.

Earlier in the episode Bradley had viewers in hysterics when he begged The Governess to twerk.

After praising her singing skills, he asked the Chaser: "Can you dance?"

Ignoring her plea to "shut up", he continued: "Can you twerk? Go on, do a bit of twerking. I dare you."

The Governess replied: "Later, maybe. I have twerked on stage, I'm not doing it now though. Terrifying sight."

Viewers were equally keen to see Anne shake her stuff.

One tweeted: "Would love to see Anne Hegarty twerk" while another pleaded: "TWERK ANNE!"

Yesterday The Chase’s Paul Sinha angered Bradley Walsh after claiming he doesn’t know lyrics from his chart topping album.

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.

Earlier this week we told how The Chase will now air on weekends too.
