Woman claims she sold everything to jet to Canada to marry her online lover then ‘discovered he was a love rat’… but insists she has no regrets 12 months on
Evangelina claims that she planned to marry Darryl, despite never meeting, after he reportedly proposed to her via Facebook
A WOMAN who allegedly planned to fly 3,200 miles to marry at first sight, before she discovered her fiancé was a "cheater", now says she is "stronger" than ever.
Evangelina Tsa, 41, claims she was due to travel from her Hertfordshire home to Ontario, Canada, on Valentine's Day 2016 to marry her online lover, Darryl Fancey.
Evangelina alleges she planned to marry Darryl, despite never meeting, after he reportedly proposed to her via Facebook.
But, despite selling all of her worldly goods, the wedding didn't go ahead, with Evangelina claiming that Darryl was cheating on her - a claim he denies.
A year on, Evangelina has revealed she is "grateful" for everything that happened last year and says that her life has been completely transformed for the better.
Part of this transformation has seen her focus on a career in music - with her Valentine’s dance single, titled He Ain't Mine coming out this week.
Evangelina even has an album, titled For The Record set to be released later on in 2017.
Speaking to about her previous relationship, Evangelina said: "Looking back, I feel embarrassed about it.
"I have definitely come out of it a stronger person. I'm really grateful I had the experience.”
However, Darryl, who is now in another relationship, denies a relationship with Evangelina and last year took to Facebook to deny Evangelina’s allegations.
He wrote: "I heard this rumour yet chose to keep my silence in hopes that this madness would soon pass.”
Spurred on by the post, Evangelina then released a photo of the engagement ring her lover supposedly bought her - as well as several text messages.
At the time, the singer had sold the majority of her possessions in a bid to raise enough money for a flight to Canada.
She said: "It all seems like yonks ago now,
"I only added him as a friend when he sent me a request. He looked like my ex-boyfriend from years ago.
"Because I thought it was my ex, I replied to his message."
Evangelina claims that, as well as messaging on Facebook, the pair would chat long distance over the phone and share photos with each other.
Speaking about her plans to fly across the globe to marry Darryl, Evangelina says that she was planning to travel to the US anyway, so that she could record her album.
So, when Darryl, 39, allegedly sent her a Facebook proposing, she quickly agreed.
Speaking previously, she said: "When he sent me a Facebook message asking me to marry him I said 'yes' in a heartbeat."
Evangelina says that it was only a matter of weeks before the wedding that she became aware that her fiancé was apparently cheating.
Evangelina told : "I was getting all these messages from these different women warning me against him. They said he was a cheat.”
She claims that she went on to confront Darryl, who she says said the girls were just jealous ex-girlfriends.
A year on Evangelina, from Stevenage, is raising money for charity through her new "upbeat dance" track.

She said: "I want to donate 10 per cent of sales to Variety, the Children's Charity, which supports sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.”
Evangelia, who is fundraising to help her produce her music, released her first album back in 2009 and her upcoming album features 10 songs.
As well as making music, Evangelina well and truly moved on with her life and has been dating other men for the past year, even going on to enjoy a seven month relationship.
She now says: "I'm very happy with being single. I'm so busy with my music. I'm not desperate at all to be with someone."
She adds that her new single, He Ain't Mine, is available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon , as well as other digital stores.
When asked about his alleged relationships with other women last year, Darryl said: "I don't believe she would say that, I'm not prepared to comment."
In his Facebook post denying his relationship and planned marriage to Evangelina, he added: "As this woman - Evangelina - seems to be hellbent on furthering her career and gaining media recognition at the expense of my reputation, I have found it necessary to come forth and let it publicly be known that this rumour is absolutely false and there is no such engagement nor wedding to take place."
Sun Online has contacted Darryl for comment.
