Bizarre new trend sees people FREEZING their genitals to boost their sex lives and improve the appearance of their intimate areas
Temperatures dip as low as -160 degrees during the treatment from Cryotherapy UK, dubbed the 'Love Mist'
A BIZARRE new trend is seeing couples FREEZING their genitals in a bid to improve their appearance and boost their sex lives.
A spa in Manchester is offering up the unusual treatment, where temperatures dip as low as minus 160 degrees.
The service from Cryotherapy UK, dubbed 'Love Mist', is available to both men and women, but it can only be performed by trained professionals.
The genitalia freezing process aims to boost customers' endorphin levels and sex drive, as well as enhancing the appearance of their intimate areas.
But how does it work?
The therapist blasts a chilly -160 degree vapour over the genital area via a liquid nitrogen tank.
During the icy 30-minute treatment, which costs £50, the nitrogen is filtered and distributed through a funnel in the form of an ice-cold vapour.
According to the spa, it improves clients' sex drives as "when the sub-zero temperature covers the skin, the sudden drop in heat stimulates the temperature receptors".
This then prompts the brain to transmit messages throughout the body so the blood vessels undergo 'vasoconstriction'.
The process produces a quicker blood flow and ramps up endorphin levels, generating a natural high.
When it comes to perking up appearance, the spa said: "While the skin continues to feel the ‘freeze’ the body sends signals back and forth to the brain.
"These messengers tell the brain if there is damage to the tissues, to repair them.
"It’s this that along with the instant endorphin level energy boost and natural high, generates a tighter, youthful, clear and vibrant genital skin appearance through boosting collagen."

Cryotherapy was originally used by athletes as an alternative to ice baths to relieve muscle soreness, but has also recently been marketed as an “anti-ageing” therapy.
It is also said to improve blood circulation and boost the metabolism and immune system.
Treatment using sub-zero temperatures is also used to treat a variety of benign and malignant tissue damage, medically called lesions.
