Pandora – The World of Avatar will open on May 27 this year at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida, and the Star Wars themed lands at both of America's Disney Parks will open some time in 2019.
Work on the 14-acre Star Wars theme parks at both Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World Resorts in Florida has already started.
Walt Disney Imagineering is working alongside Lucasfilm on the projects to build the range of themed attractions.
These include a Millennium Falcon ride where visitors will be able to pilot the ship through space themselves while firing the laser cannons.
They will also experience what it is like to fight among stormtroopers and Resistance fighters.
Meanwhile, guests at Avatar's Pandora attraction in Florida will be able to sample what life would be like on Pandora in two features.
On the Avatar Flight of Passage ride, they can fly over the jungle on a Mountain Banshee for a bird's eye view of the land.
They can also take a boat ride through bioluminescent forests on the Na’vi River Journey, before eating Avatar-style food in a Na’vi canteen.
