A BLOGGER made an incredible fitness transformation after battling with symptoms of eating disorders.
In 2012, Abby Pollock’s struggle with food spiralled out of control after her dad was diagnosed with cancer.
She used fitness apps to count calories and monitor her diet, restricting her intake to just 1,000 calories per day.
From week to week, Abby, from Toronto, Canada, dabbled in different faddish diet plans, including clean eating and living off only raw vegan foods.
In a recent Instagram post, Abby, 23, revealed: "Eating 1,000 calories a day took constant willpower.
"I was physically drained from eating so little, I was mentally drained from obsessing over such a trivial part of my life."
In 2013, Abby’s father’s prognosis had progressed to terminal, and she also worried that she was being cheated on with her boyfriend.
Abby told that this is when she was determined to change her life.
She said: "I decided I was done playing victim, done breaking myself down.”
Slowly, she upped her diet to 2,000 calories a day and enlisted the help of a holistic nutritionist and personal trainer.
She now eats four meals a day and trains hard in the gym four times a week.
Her main piece of advice for those wanting to achieve her enviable figure is to consume the right amount of calories.
She admitted: “One of the BIGGEST mistakes I see women make is that they’re not eating enough…
“If you want shape / tone / or that tight sculpted bikini look, you will not get it by starving yourself.
“Nothing good will come from starving yourself.
“By not eating enough calories, you starving your body and mind, ultimately sabotaging your own progress.”
