Meet Harmony, the first sex robot to offer an ‘emotional connection’ with her human lover … and she’s on sale very soon
THE first sex robot to give her owner an “emotional connection” is set to go on sale from April 15 – and she’ll be full of surprises.
Harmony is programmed to be charming and witty, is “prone to falling in love with you” and will “say things you don’t expect”, according to her creature.
She also comes with an app that can control her moods and settings – and give her a pulse.
RealDoll ceo Matt McMullen wants customers to have a “real bond” with their cyborg lovers.
He told the : “Emotional connections are the foundations of relationships and that’s what we are simulating.
“And it’s emotions which add the X Factor to sex. I think two people can meet in a bar, have sex the same night and not remember each other’s names and say well that was fun.
“But that’s different sex than when you actually get to know someone and you bond with them intellectually and emotionally.”
Harmony comes with 12 personality traits which can be chosen by her owner, including kind, shy, naïve, intellectual and, naturally, sexual.
Matt added: “The A.I. is prone to falling in love with you. But it will depend very much on the selections you’ve made.
“She will say things you are not expecting.”
Once they have the doll, users can subscribe to an app they can access on a smartphone, iPad, tablet or computer.
The app will be able to sync with the robots and give them a pulse, as well as controlling their settings.
And while the dolls may cost up to £12,000 the yearly subscription is likely to be a snip at
Matt said they are looking at a yearly subscription model at around $20 or £15, available anywhere in the world.
He added: “It’s really exciting to see where it will take us next."
