All eyes are on Donald Trump as he gets sworn in as president – and there appears to have been a massive mix-up with the BBC subtitles during the ceremony.
Instead of the words from the inauguration being displayed on the screen, hilarious dialogue appeared from what seemed to be a dramatic soap.
Twitter user uploaded the comical footage of the incorrect subtitles, with caption: “BBC News have the wrong subtitles on and it's pretty glorious.”
The BBC claim they have found no evidence their coverage was subtitled incorrectly, but were "looking into whether any localised issues may have affected this viewer."
As live footage showed Trump being sworn in as the 45th president, the words, “Just tell him to get out of my face. So it was him in your room,” appeared as he was shown on screen.
When the camera panned onto Obama, the words “Just shut it, yeah? Oi! Leave him alone!” could be seen.
A BBC spokesperson said to the Sun Online: "We have not found any evidence or had other feedback from viewers that our main output covering the inauguration was subtitled incorrectly."
“Look, if you ain’t seen Sasha, just do one, yeah? No-one wants you here.”
“You’re only in a mood because Mo’s gone.”
“Just shut it, yeah?”
“Oi! Leave him alone!”
“Just tell him to get out of my face.”
“So it was him in your room.”
“Oh, whatever.”
“You can’t come here outside of contact, or Mum will get into trouble. Is that what you want? Or for her and Kev to be a family? With you and Murphy and the baby. And me.”
“Sasha, hurry up!”
“Stop playing around with Bailey and go home.”
It isn't the only time there has been an error in the subtitles for a programme.
Last year a hilarious gaffe by BBC weather forecast’s auto-subtitles warned viewers of cold front bringing fascist phantoms.
Similarly Netflix accidentally broadcasted an X-rated comedian’s subtitles over a family-friendly BBC nature show.
