BUTT OF THE JOKES

The Chase contestant causes uproar over her name which viewers reckon sounds like a cheeky body part

Brainy Annis, a management trainee from Cardiff, stole the show on last night's episode for more than just her performance

A CONTESTANT on The Chase was the butt of viewers’ jokes last night – due to her “childishly rude-sounding” name.

Annis, a 23-year-old management trainee from Cardiff, turned out to be a very competent player, securing £5,000 in her cash builder round and beating The Dark Destroyer.

Annis performed very well on the game show, but it was her name that caught the viewers’ attention

But viewers were distracted by the fact her name sounded vaguely similar to a cheeky part of the human body.

One tweeted: “Am I the only person that did not notice that Annis on #TheChase has a slightly childishly rude sounding name?”

Another wrote: “Annis looks like pure filth. Must be the name. #thechase“.
