Welsh artist Howard Lee creates scarily accurate illustrations of a spider… so can YOU tell the critter from the sketch?

FORGET trying to find the panda or solve the latest numbers game, a Welsh illustrator has baffled the web with his incredibly lifelike drawings.

Talented , from Aberystwyth, has doodled a scarily accurate sketch of a spider and placed it next to a real life eight-legged critter before asking the internet to work out which is which.

Howard posted the and it has since been viewed over 7,000 times.

Thanks to his professional shading and highlighting skills, it is nearly impossible to tell the drawing from the actual spider – until the insect quickly scuttles off the page.

One user commented: “How? Just how! Someone teach me”, while another added: “Best spider drawing ever!”

He captioned the 26-second video: "How good are YOUR eyes? One of these spiders is actually a DRAWING. Can you spot it before the real one RUNS AWAY?!

"Artwork drawn with Caran D'Ache Luminance pencils on Daler Canford Card."

Howard has also done the optical illusion trick with snails.

It is only thanks to the live creatures slow movements that viewers are able to spot the sketch from the real deal.

Howard first found fame online last year when when his  went viral.

In the one-minute video the artist adds ketchup and mustard to both a real hot dog and a sketch of one.

At the end of the clip he slices the real fast food bun in half, before it revealing how he achieved the illusion.

The demonstration currently has more than one million views, with fans praising the artist for his amazing drawing abilities.

Howard Lee's work has also gained him a loyal following on his Twitter account under his handle @howardleepaint.

His impressive artwork has currently seen him amass more than 2,000 followers.
