Obese woman shifts seven stone in ten months and has seven pounds of loose skin removed in time for her New Year’s Eve party
Molly Agnew, 24, tipped the scales at 17 stone after binging on pasta, bread and chocolate
A YOUNG woman has lost half a stone of excess skin just in time for New Year after dropping seven stone in ten months.
Molly Agnew, 24, from Dublin, tipped the scales at 17 stone after binging on a diet of pasta, bread and chocolate.
But after changing her unhealthy habits last year, she dropped seven stone and even began a nutrition course at college.
Molly was left with half a stone excess skin after losing her size 20 frame and despite feeling confident, she felt it was holding her back.
And in late November this year, she decided to pay for a tummy tuck to complete her transformation just in time for the New Year celebrations.
For the first time in her life Molly will be shopping for a glitzy dress that shows off her new size 10 figure this New Year’s Eve.
Molly, who works in childcare, said: “It was such a relief to lose seven stone, instantly I felt more confident but when I looked in the mirror, I still wasn't happy.
“I only planned to lose one stone but as the weight started to fall off, I was left with a lot of excess skin around my stomach.
“I couldn't wear tight clothes to show off my new figure and I knew a tummy tuck would complete my transformation.
“Before I lost the weight, I was an emotional wreck, I used to un-tag myself in photos on Facebook all of the time because of how disgusted I felt by the way I looked.
“Thankfully I never got bullied and I have really great friends, but I knew I had to do something to sort out my weight issue.
“Now I have the body of my dreams and this New Year symbolises a fresh new start and body.”
Molly never used to eat anything until mid-afternoon but then she lived off sandwiches and pasta which was a huge reason for her weight gain.
She said: “I did always have problems with my weight growing up but my diet was so unhealthy.
“I never used to exercise at all, and I would eat so much bread, pasta and ready meals.
“Now my diet is so different and it makes me feel better about myself every day.
“I eat a lot of protein, porridge and salads which contribute hugely to keeping a healthy lifestyle.
“I did also realise though that a healthy lifestyle and frequent gym visits would not get rid of my excess skin, so I decided to have the operation earlier this month.
“Even though I dropped from a size 20 to a size ten I was so unhappy with the way I looked, I hated the excess skin.
“It made me look bigger than I was and even though I was proud of how much I'd lost, I didn't feel comfortable to show it off.”
