Jamie Oliver outsells Mary Berry, Nigella Lawson and Delia Smith to claim Christmas cookery book number one spot

DELIA Smith has fallen out of flavour this Christmas depite being in number one spot last year, sales reveal.

Jamie Oliver has taken the coveted crown and Delia barely scrapes into the top ten.

Oliver, 41, is the king of the kitchen with his latest recipes in Jamie Oliver’s Christmas Cookbook.

It is billed as “everything you need for the best Christmas ever” with classic recipes and new ways to “love those leftovers.”

Bake Off star Mary Berry’s Christmas Collection was runner-up in a top 10 chart compiled by online retailers Amazon.

The figures are based on combined sales of hardback, paperback and Kindle books since September 1.

Delia’s Happy Christmas charted at number nine after the same cookbook was the most popular in 2015.

Amazon books director Dan Mucha said: “With a fifteen year career, it’s not surprising that this year home chefs are turning to the Naked Chef to ensure the festive feast is a cracking success.”
