Hilarious memes sweep the web as angry commuters react to Southern Rail drivers’ strike
FRUSTRATED commuters have taken to the web to slam Southern Rail staff for the latest wave of strike action.
Nearly one million people are expected to be affected by the three days of driver strikes taking place today (December 13), tomorrow and on Friday.
In typically British fashion, people have taken to Twitter to make light of the situation - shedding a bit of humour on what's being described as the worst disruption since the 1990s.
Among those to have spoken out are the parody accounts for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, and a joke account made in tribute to everyone's favourite rail company - called Bad Southern Rail.
Tweets made on this account today include 'passengers wishing to travel today advised to travel to an alternative dimension where trains aren't run by massive children' and 'due to industrial action, some services have been replaced by a small dog'.
