Sex tracker app for your fella’s old chap tests how good you both are in the BEDROOM
Lovely is the world’s first 'smart sex tracker' and its makers hope it will do for bonking what the Fitbit has done for fitness
THERE’S an app to track the steps you take, count the calories you consume . . . and to measure your performance in the BEDROOM.
Lovely is the world’s first “smart sex tracker” and its makers hope it will do for bonking what the Fitbit has done for fitness.
The saucy app, which launches this month, comes in the form of a silicon sex toy to be worn by men. It records statistics, such as number of thrusts, intensity and calories burnt, then sends the results to your smartphone.
In a sex-clusive experiment for The Sun, Olga and Rafael Frankow have become the first couple in the UK to try out the gadget.
Here, they tell DIANA APPLEYARD how they got on.
'Added vibration'
SALES consultant Rafael, 29, is from Shadwell, East London. He says:
"I was sceptical as to how a sex toy and a phone app can make a difference to your love life. Olga and I have great sex – we make love an average of three times a week – but this exceeded our expectations.
It is simple to use, as you just tell the app information about yourselves, including things like how often you have sex and what positions you use.
You then jump into bed, placing the device intimately on the man. The sex toy feels very light, like a rose petal, and is designed so part of it stimulates the woman as you have sex. It can even vibrate if you wish. The device then sends information to the app on your phone.
We had a fairly normal sex session for us – it lasted 30 minutes and we used a couple of different positions.
We found the added vibration great and Olga really enjoyed the design of the device.
With bated breath we found out our statistics. I was delighted to see at the height of sex I was moving as fast as a light aircraft and had burned 150 calories.
The device only records the man’s performance but the woman can add to the app’s notes how she feels the sex could be improved and it makes recommendations.
It’s good that all the information – like your favourite sex position – is stored so the app can make suggestions for new positions to try.
The best thing was the suggestion about how we could change our positions to create an even more satisfying session.
We then had a second session using the information from the first and we learned that by shifting our positions slightly, I could give Olga more pleasure.
It genuinely made a difference to us. My only reservation is that it could make sex too competitive as you could get hung up on things like how fast you are going."
'More pleasure'
RELATIONSHIP coach Olga, 32, has been married to Rafael for four years. She says:
"The best thing about Lovely is the design of the device as during sex, there is normally very little stimulation for the woman. This rectifies that and is very pleasurable. It enhances sex.
I work with couples who often have problems with their sex life and I think this could really help as it gets communication going between couples.
This made Rafael and I think more imaginatively about new positions we could try and after sex, we sat down and went through the data.
We had a good laugh about the speed and number of thrusts. It recommended that in the position we had adopted, if I had shifted just a few degrees I would have experienced more pleasure from a slightly different angle.
It also recommended putting a pillow under my bottom – a tip that is easy to do and a fun way to boost your sex life.
Tweaking our position in the way the app recommended gave me much more sensation and a deeper, more intense orgasm.
I am concerned the statistics could become obsessive but on the other hand, everyone seems captivated with digitally tracking their lives so why not their sex life too?
I liked the fact the drawings of the new positions were very simple – they are not overly complicated and are suitable for real people.
We won’t use this every time we make love but maybe we’ll take it out once a week to update the information and take some new ideas onboard.
I’m sure the app will improve our style and technique."
