What is a Hatchimal?
The £59.99 toy is an egg which hatches to reveal an interactive furry creature similar to a penguin.
Once hatched, kids can teach it to walk, talk, dance, play games and more.
It is this season's hottest toy and parents around the globe are racing to get one for their kids this Christmas.
Hatchimals are made by Spin Master, a Canadian company that was more than a little surprised by how sought after the Hatchimals became following their October launch.
The hi-tech hatchling is a long way from the company’s first toy: “Earth Buddy” was a nylon stocking filled with sawdust that would grow grass.
Where can you buy a Hatchimal?
The cute critters have already sold out in most stores and manufacturers are already running out of stock.

A number of retailers are selling Hatchimals on Amazon Marketplace – but be warned, they’re being flogged for up to double the price.
At the time of writing, some Hatchimal eggs were being sold for more than £100.

Retailers are selling Hatchimals on from 120EUR, which works out at roughly £100. They are also being sold on from 130EUR, which is roughly £110.
However, they obviously will be sent from France/Germany and cost more to ship.

Hatchimals are BACK IN STOCK at Argos,after a long awaited re-stock.
The Pengualas pink egg is available for £59.99 as is the Pengualas teal egg.

Hatchimals are available from many sellers on eBay - but for up to FOUR TIMES the price.
We found Hatchimals starting at £90, but bidders bumped up prices to over £100.00. A Draggles Hatchimal was listed for a whopping £267.09.
But don't panic - there are still some listed for around £70. But you better be quick if you want to snap one up.
Smyths
Smyths is selling Hatchimals for £59.99 in store only.
But be quick, they won't last.

Unfortunately, because they are this season's most sought after toy, Hatchimals are going out of stock fast.
