Scarlett Moffatt’s rise to fame – from snogging Jeremy McConnell on MTV’s Beauty School Cop Outs to being crowned I’m A Celebrity’s Queen of the Jungle
SCARLETT Moffatt has just won the UK's biggest popularity contest - coming first in ITV's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.
So how did the straight-talking Geordie lass win over the nation's hearts? From teen dancing queen to Queen of the Jungle, we look at how Scarlett rose to fame - and what could be on the cards for her next...
Teen dancing queen
Scarlett is a trained ballroom dancer and competed in National and European contests from the age of six - so now you know where her penchant for fake tan was born.
She's so obsessed with looking bronzed that it even cost her a job at the Clinique make-up counter, where she was fired for making customers 'too orange'.
Reality TV star
The witty Geordie's first television appearance was on MTV's series Beauty School Cop Outs in 2013.
As well as learning the tricks of the trade, Scarlett kissed future Celebrity Big Brother star and Stephanie Davis' former flame Jeremy McConnell during a wild drinking game of Truth or Dare.
She also went on to hook up with co-star Richard Cull and strip off for a spray tan.
Gogglebox
Taking a step away from her reality TV antics, Scarlett first appeared in the multi-award winning Channel 4 series Gogglebox in 2014.
Appearing alongside her parents (and more recently her sister and new beau Luke Crodden), Scarlett quickly became one of the show's favourites with her witty observations and infectious laughter.
Fitness DVD
The 26-year-old later confirmed everyone's suspicions (and her DVD is available for pre-order now) but the svelte down-to-earth northern girl insists she still eats cake.
Well, if that isn't reason enough to love her, what is?
She recently wrote on her Instagram account: "Doesn't sound like a big deal but it's the little things that make me now smile everyday.
"Running up the stairs without getting out of breath, I now can enjoy going shopping, I wake up and my back doesn't ache.
"Lovelies if I can do it you definitely can."
Jungle Queen
Before going into the I'm A Celeb jungle, Scarlett was concerned her campmates would think she was a member of the public.
She needn't have worried though, as she proved just as popular with her fellow jungle buddies as she did with viewers at home.
After winning over the nation with feats like eating camel’s nipples, cow anus and turkey testicles in a gruesome Bushtucker Trial, Scarlett was crowned Queen of The Jungle, beating Emmerdale star Adam Thomas, 28, and comedian Joel Dommett, 30.
What's next?
Taking part in I'm A Celebrity has proved to be a turning point for many celebrities, from Peter Andre to last year's winner Vicky Pattison.
After Scarlett's jungle success, experts reckon Scarlett could make £1million in celebrity endorsements and associated work - which would make her the youngest Gogglebox millionaire.
And with her fitness DVD release already to look forward to in the new year and Channel 4 and ITV reportedly locked in a fierce bidding war for the bubbly TV star, we have a feeling this loveable Geordie lass is destined for big things in 2017...
