The sale is the last of an eight day campaign to celebrate “Cyber Week”.

It kicked-off the campaign last Monday by putting 250,000 seats on sale from £9.99 on over 400 routes, for travel in January and February, which had to be booked by midnight.

It then dropped prices even further, with flights available on its website for just £7.99.

Robin Keily, from Ryanair, said: “Millions of customers have booked themselves a ‘Cyber Week’ bargain over the last week and to celebrate ‘Cyber Monday’ we’ve reduced fares by up to 20 per cent on 10 million seats, for travel from December to March.

Last week, Ryanair’s boss Michael O’Leary said that he hoped flights could be free.

The boss of the cheap flights airline was speaking at the Airport Operators Association conference in London, where he said that a reduction in taxes, such as air passenger duty (APD) would eventually mean flights could be free.

He hopes to make money off airport revenue in order to cut prices.

Earlier this month O’Leary predicted that air fares would fall by 15 per cent next March.

Speaking about the first year financial results for the budget airline, Michael O’Leary, chief executive of Ryanair told Bloomberg TV: “We are looking at a year where as far as we can see air fares will keep falling. We are looking at extraordinary fare declines.

He added that the company had “hedged on sterling”, which means it will not be affected by the drop in the value of the pound over the next 12 months.
