Apple IS doing Black Friday 2016? Bargain hunters teased about ‘one-day shopping event’
WITH Black Friday right around the corner, scores of bargain hunters are raring to go and bag the best deals.
But while we're used to grabbing bargains from the likes of Amazon - there could be a new face on the scene this year.
Apple has usually given Black Friday a miss - with shoppers accepting that its products are so widely used, it doesn't need to slash its prices to get customers through the doors.
But this year, the technology giant might be about to get in on the action - as a mysterious page about a "one-day shopping event" has appeared on its website.
The teaser also says that "Friday can't come soon enough" - and assures customers they'll be able to "tick everyone off their list", offering free next-day delivery on orders made before 7pm.
In the meantime, some retailers, including Amazon, Currys PC World and Tesco have already released selected Black Friday deals - including reductions on tablets, TVs and home appliances.
Meanwhile, some Apple products have had their prices cut too - including discounts on iPads, iPhones and Macs.
This year, Black Friday is expected to kick-start a record £77.6billion Christmas spending spree - £1.44billion higher than last year's peak of £76.1billion.
