Aldi's Wagyu burgers are made from premium quality Wagyu beef which comes from cattle bred and grass-fed on open New Zealand pastures, according to the retailer.

The pricey cut can cost as much as £90 in a typical high-end restaurant, which would charge around £40 per 100g.

The budget supermarket alternates its 'Specialbuy' products every Thursday and Sunday.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of their juicy Wagyu burgers, this week the posh patties are being brought back to the shelves.

But 'Specialbuy' items are limited in stock, meaning once they're gone, they're gone - so snap them up quick!

The luxury burgers, which weigh approximately 150g when grilled, are likely to set you back around £45 in a posh eatery.

They get their name from the famous Japanese Kobe Wagyu, which can sell for up to £500 a kilo in Japan.

The meat is renowned for its distinctive marbling of fat which melts while it cooks, making for a super succulent, tender burger.

It is supposedly healthier as the mono-unsaturated to saturated rate ratio is higher than other types of beef.
