After claiming she wants to ‘buy a baby’, here are Katie Price’s most controversial quotes
From taking revenge on those who hurt her to turning her kids into a brand, we take a look at the feisty star's most shocking outbursts
Katie Price has arguably made as much of a living from her candid confessions and by publicising her personal life as she has from being a pin-up.
But sometimes the famously outspoken star just takes it a little further than most would, shocking the public with her outrageous comments. Following her latest controversial claim that she wants to “buy a baby”, we take a look at her most salacious quotes…
‘I want him to suffer’
Katie was understandably devastated when she found out that third husband Kieran Hayler had cheated on her not only with her best pal of 20 years, Jane Poutney, but also another close friend who he met for random hook-ups. The couple managed to save their marriage after the former stripper sought help for the sex addiction he blamed for his philandering, but it appears Katie still hasn’t fully got over the pain he caused her.
“I always say to him, ‘You haven’t had your karma yet, but something will happen – you’ll see’. I want him to go through all that hurt I went through, seeing all those pictures and text messages in The Sun – I wish he could feel the pain that I had, because it’s indescribable,” she wrote in her weekly column in The Sun on Sunday last weekend. “He says he’s sorry he put me through all that, but I think, ‘Nah, you still haven’t felt it’. So I want him to suffer just a little bit.”
‘Can’t I just buy a baby abroad?’
Mother-of-five Katie has got a famously big heart when it comes to children and would like to expand her family further.
After having biological children Harvey, 14, with footballer Dwight Yorke; Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, whose dad is singer Peter Andre; as well as Jett, three, and Bunny, two, with current husband Kieran Hayler, the business woman is ready to give a home to a little one in need.
However, Katie doesn’t seem have the patience to take the longwinded legal route of adoption, speculating “it would take ages” to rescue a child from an orphanage. Instead, she told the Sunday Times, “I love babies and I was thinking, how can I get one quick? I know it’s hard to adopt, so I thought, can’t I just buy one abroad?”
‘My children are a brand’
Katie has made millions by turning her personal life and passions into successful businesses, raking in the cash with magazine deals, TV shows, several autobiographies and novels, and even a range of horse riding apparel and accessories. And the savvy star is keen for her children to follow into her footsteps, lining up lucrative deals for Junior, 11, and Princess, nine.
She revealed during a public appearance called ‘An Evening with Katie Price’ that both of her kids with ex-husband Peter Andre have got exciting projects lined up.
“They have got stuff. They are like a little brand themselves. They will be doing books, ” she said.
‘Vegetables’ and a ‘vodka bottle’
We all know that Katie isn’t exactly the shy and retiring type, and her TMI outbursts have become infamous. She even managed to get kicked off the panel of ITV daytime chat show Loose Women once after discussing the use of ‘vegetables’ in the bedroom.
But her crudest ever comment has got to be the shocking revelation she made about ex-husband Alex Reid, who she claimed she performed a sex act on with ‘a vodka bottle' at the launch of her book In The Name Of Love in 2012.
‘If I’d known Harvey would be blind I probably would have aborted him’
Whatever people may say about Katie, it is undeniable how much she dotes on her disabled son with Dwight Yorke, Harvey, 14. But she shocked Loose Women viewers when she made a controversial confession while discussion the sensitive issue of abortion on the show.
In her typically frank manner, she revealed that she might have terminated the pregnancy if she had known her child would be born blind and suffering from Prader-Willi syndrome. “I was young when I had Harvey and I admit it, that if I knew he was blind before I had him, as harsh as it sounds, I probably would have aborted him, because to me it’s like, ‘Oh my God, it’s blind, how would I cope?’. I know it sounds harsh,” she said.
After coming under fire on social media, she tweeted: “I’m really upset people have taken out of context what I said on @loosewomen today. Harvey is my life and I am so proud of him!”
