THE aftermath of a sales frenzy like Black Friday can leave even the most enthusiastic bargain hunter empty pocketed and brimming with regret.

What’s worse is that over half of Brits don’t have a clue when it comes to knowing what their refund rights are.

In a Which? survey of over 2,000 people, only one in ten realised that refund rights online are different from those in the high street.

Refund and exchange rights differ in terms of timeframes and whether or not the item in question is faulty or you’ve just changed your mind about wanting it.

 Consumer Contract Regulations mean that you have 14 days from when you receive an item to return it.

2. Answer: B.
You are only entitled to a refund if the item is faulty. Refunds and exchanges are at the discretion of the shop and they may have their own policy. For example, many shops will exchange or refund items up to 28 days after you purchase it.

Most retailers will accept non-faulty returns as long as items are unused and in perfect condition with their undamaged original packaging. But there are some exclusions, for example, if an item is perishable, personalised or a CD, DVD or computer software that has been opened.
