Dad-of-two horrified to discover eggs ‘he bought in Iceland’ were full of BLOOD
Disgusted Ady Reid, from Manchester, was about to cook scrambled eggs for his two boys when he made the gruesome discovery
A DAD-OF-TWO was left shell-shocked when he discovered an egg from a box he claims to have bought from Iceland contained BLOOD.
Ady Reid, from Manchester, says he was cooking up scrambled eggs for himself and his two boys for breakfast when he made the harrowing find.
He told The Sun: "I felt disgusted. This whole episode has put me off eggs for life."
Ady, a businessman, says he bought the £1.25 pack of 15 Class 'A' mixed sized fresh eggs from the Mather Way branch of the frozen food supermarket in Salford on Wednesday.
After discovering the blood-like substance he called Iceland customer services yesterday to complain.
He alleged: "They tried to fob me off with a bottle of wine and my money back."
Ady took photos of the vile-looking red liquid oozing out of the egg which he uploaded to Facebook.
A spokesperson for Iceland told The Sun: "We would strongly advise Mr Reid to contact our customer team on 0800 328 0800 at his earliest convenience.
"Please be assured that we take all complaints seriously and would like to complete a thorough investigation."
Earlier this month we told how a dad was surprised to discover TEN double yolks from a box of a dozen eggs from Morrisons.
