Footage claims to show terrifying ‘alien spider’ with a see-through head jerking around on camera

THIS freaky footage claims to show an alien spider with a bizarre translucent head, and it's terrifying arachnophobes everywhere.

And if you hate spiders already, then this video of the unusual critter is sure to be your worst nightmare.

The footage shows a yellowish arachnid with unusual black markings all over its body, but that's far from the weirdest thing about the bizarre spider.

In the video, it's possible to see the spider's retinas moving around inside its jelly-like head, before the beady orange eyes eventually fix on the camera.

As the spider susses out its surroundings, it makes freaky jerking movements, prompting some viewers to suggest the creature is not from this planet.

The moving retinas and shifty movements were enough to seriously spook commenters on YouTube, where the video was first shared.

One likened the creature to an "alien", whilst reports that one viewer claimed they would "never sleep at night" if they came across one of the critters in their house.

And another spooked viewer said: ";I can see it thinking"

As out-of-this-world as the spider may seem, it turns out that the creature is indeed native to this planet, and is an Ecuadorian breed of jumping spider.

Jumping spiders are believed to be one of the most intelligent breeds of spider, and have been known to watch and stalk their prey for hours before striking.

This isn't the first time we've all be stunned by an unusual spider however, and you can be sure that it won't be the last.

Earlier this year, we revealed that Britain may have been invaded by a breed of spider whose bite will give victims a painful, four-hour long erection, before killing them.

Recently, a giant huntsman spider sent shivers down our spines, after the huge critter was filmed clutching a dead mouse and dragging it back to its lair.
