IT seems that the writers of The Simpsons are pretty dab hands when it comes to predicting the future – especially when it comes to America.
They were spot on about Donald Trump winning the general election an impressive 16 years before the results, it's been claimed they predicted the death of Harambe the gorilla and some say they even predicted 9/11.
So, could they have predicted other events too?
Back in 2007, the popular cartoon also seemingly predicted that Terminator’s Arnold Schwarzenegger could be in the White House – could this also come true?
Stranger things have happened - after all, the former governor of California has far experience when it comes to politics than Trump.

On the other hand, traditionally the President must be born on US soil to take on the position.
In the US constitution it states: “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”
However, many people have challenged this notion, believing it doesn’t mean you have to be born in one of the 50 states to be a “natural born citizen”.
So, perhaps The Simpsons might be on to something…
