Lidl brings back Serrano ham…and this time it has a mini-version for £12.99
A larger version of the ham usually sells for £750 in upmarket Spanish tapas chains - but you can get it for £30
LIDL is putting its popular Serrano ham back on the shelves and this time you can get a mini 1 kg version for £12.99.
A larger 6.5-7.5 kg is also available for £29.99 and last year it proved very popular with shoppers.
It follows on from what the company called "the huge success in previous years of the full-size Serrano Ham Leg".
The product generated sales topping 30,000 units across the festive season last year.
This time round the supermarket giant is offering the scaled-down 1kg version, complete with a traditional wooden stand and specialist ham knife.
However, Morrisons recently had a leg of the same ham for a bargain price for £9.99 - complete with chopping board.
Budget supermarket Aldi also has its own version of the ham, which costs the same price as Aldi's larger version.
The flavoursome, dried ham, from the Castilla-Leon region in Spain, is made using unique artisanal traditions.
The distinctive taste comes from the ham being cured in chambers and cellars for 12 months.

The Deluxe Spanish Air Dried Ham is available in Lidl stores throughout England, Scotland and Wales, alongside its larger counterpart.
