This is what the Starbucks 2016 Christmas cups will look like
STARBUCKS’ red cups aren’t due to hit coffee shops until later this month.
However, the coffee company has already started dropping boxes of the cups to stores across the world.
The packages are labelled “No peeking until November 10”, signifying the launch date of the cups in stores everywhere.
But Redditor DasUberSquid with the caption: “I peeked.”
The 2016 red cup features a sketched, slightly abstract pattern of holly berries, leaves, branches and birds in white.
We reached out to Starbucks to confirm if these actually are the 2016 Christmas cups, but they simply responded its Christmas plans are "still under wraps".
The 2015 Christmas cups caused a huge amount of controversy on Twitter last year with some Starbucks fans calling out the company for being “anti-Christmas” and “anti-Christian”.
So it makes sense that this year the company has come up with a more festive design.
Plus, there are rumours that there are other red cups on the way.
A Reddit user said in a comment .
Since their inception in 1997, the coffee company released cups depicting images of snowflakes, reindeer and doves.
Regardless of the design, what this really means is customers will soon be able to enjoy sipping their favourite Christmas drinks.
Starbucks’ signature flavours, including Eggnog Latte, Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread Latte, are all expected to return.
