Experts from the University of Scranton revealed that coffee was the number one source of antioxidants in the US diet.

The popular drink is also a source of key nutrients, including Vitamin B2, Vitamin B5, Manganese and Potassium.

From oral cancer to breast cancer, countless scientific papers have claimed that coffee can help cut the risk of the deadly disease.

One of these studies, led by Lund University, Sweden showed that two-three types of coffee can delay the onset of breast cancer.

Experts believe that the much-loved hot drink could reduce the risk of Type 2 diabetes.

Researchers at the Scientists at Harvard School of Public Health revealed that those that drank more than a cup of coffee a day had an 11 per cent lower risk of developing the disease.
