When is the M&S Archive by Alexa Chung Winter 2016 collection out? Prices, pictures and must have items
For the ‘Archive by Alexa’ range, the style icon raided the much-loved British retailer’s archive
ALEXA Chung is known by many for her super-stylish fashion choices – so fans will be pleased to hear her latest collection with M&S will be hitting the shelves today.
Fashion lovers can rejoice, as they are finally able to get their hands on Alexa’s new collection - which contains a number of key items which will carry you through the winter.
For the ‘Archive by Alexa’ range, the style icon raided the much-loved British retailer’s archive - rediscovering pieces from the 1940s through to the 1980s.
Just as with her sold-out spring collection, Alexa then updated Marks & Spencer’s apparel for the modern day shopper – but this time garments have been given an evening-wear twist.
For the latest collection, Alexa has named all 27 of the pieces after street names in Leeds - where M&S was first established in 1884.
Any must haves?
One piece to look out for is her 'Briggate' black trench coat, which costs £89.
Alexa was snapped in this chic trench during London Fashion Week in September – so it's likely to get snapped up quickly by those looking to copycat her look.
Another item to watch out for is the halterneck, spotted 'Calverley' evening dress, which was previewed by M&S on their Instagram account last month.
The pretty frock will be £49.50 when it hits stores.
One of Alexa's favourites is also the £39.50 'Aire' blouse - which she says is a "disco in a top."
What can I expect from the collection?
The Archive range is full of contemporary, vintage inspired pieces, mixing bold prints with luxe fabrics, from vivid metallics to sumptuous velvets.
Prices range from £29.50 - £125.
When is the collection out?
Archive by Alexa was made available TODAY, so it's advisable to get buying now while stocks last.
Referring to the collaboration, Alexa explains: "I have always had an affection for Marks & Spencer. I am thrilled to be a part of this special and unique project."
