Married at First Sight groom Adam divides viewers after picking a ‘hot woman’ to be his best man

Married at First Sight fans were left divided left night after groom Adam was joined at the altar by his "Bond Girl" lookalike mate.

The latest episode of the controversial Channel 4 dating programme followed the train manager as he prepared to tie the knot to Caroline, an operations executive.

Adam joked he had been "single for a very long time", while Caroline revealed she was feeling "excited" about their wedding.

The premise of the show means couples meet for the very first time at the altar.

Luckily, the couple "clicked" instantly and Adam said: "I'm a very happily married man, grinning like a Cheshire cat".

While Caroline added: "I think there could definitely be something there!"

Despite the blossoming romance, viewers at home were left distracted by Adam’s extremely “glamorous” female best man.

Taking to Twitter, one person commented: "Adam’s ‘best man’. Risky. Really risky.  #MarriedAtFirstSight."

While another added: "Female best friend as the best man? Hmmm #MarriedAtFirstSight.”

"'Oh good, my new husbands best man is a hot woman'... Said no bride ever #MarriedAtFirstSight,” joked another.

One person said the bride may find a female best man “threatening”: "Ooh! Adam's overprotective female best mate as best man. Not going to threaten the bride.....much  #MarriedAtFirstSight."

Another commented: "Adam rocking up to his wedding with his Bond Girl aka the 'Best man' in a sexy red dress! Wonder how that went down?! #MarriedAtFirstSight.”

However, some fans defended Adam’s decision and insisted they are just mates.

Meanwhile, viewers were sent into a frenzy last week by Married At First Sight hunky groom Clark.

The business development manager, 26, was gushed about thanks to his blunt honesty and good looks.
