Now parents are getting their kids’ drawings TATTOOED on themselves
Brave parents are even allowing their children to actually apply the ink
CHILDREN's drawings are often proudly plastered on the fridge or sneakily dumped in the bin by parents.
But these super-devoted parents have gone above and beyond by inking their youngsters’ artworks on their skin.
Tattoos tend to range from cute 'I love you' handwritten notes and lovingly drawn family pictures to frankly terrifying monsters - more appropriate for Halloween than a parent's leg.
The artworks vary greatly in size and detail, with some of them boasting vibrant colours and details and others having more simple designs.
Some photos are directly copied from the child's drawing while others take inspiration and are given an arty makeover with popular watercolour backgrounds.
The craze is on the rise with 'cool' parents, with more and more showing off their new tats on social media such as Instagram rather than just keeping it to the school gates.
Some of the social media snapshots emerging show the original drawings beside the artwork, while other brave parents have even allowed the children to actually do the tattooing.
One doting dad let his six and eight-year-old kids do his but said: "They're the best tattoos I've ever received."
It's not just parents getting in on the trend, but aunties and uncles too. Film-maker Alwan created a mash-up of his niece and nephew's drawings.
He said: "I asked my niece and nephews to draw me a picture to get tattooed and this was the mashup final product."
