AN x-ray revealed the 'foreign body' after he sought medical help
WHEN it comes to sex related injuries most doctors have seen it all.
But the one resident surgeon has relayed an eye-watering tale that would shock even the most experienced medic.
Writing on the forum , Ahsan Aziz revealed a patient who couldn’t pee came into a friend’s surgery for help – and was found to have a phone cable in his BLADDER.
And how it got there is even more shocking.
He wrote: “One of my friends is a surgery resident.
“A few months back a 35 years old male patient came to him with the complaint of inability to pass urine for the last 8 hours.
“My friend enquired about vomiting, diarrhoea, past history of pain, diabetes, hypertension, medication history etc.; the man was very reluctant to give history, appeared perfectly healthy except voiding problem.

“While examining the patient he found mild tenderness in the lower abdomen over bladder region, all other things seemed ok. My friend was facing diagnostic dilemma, he recommended a straight X-ray of KUB region and found this.”
The shocking x-ray clearly shows a coiled cable in the bladder area – but things were about to get even weirder.
He continued: “After much cajoling the man revealed he introduced a mobile phone charger wire in the urethra while MASTURBATING.
“It ended up in bladder and he couldn’t retrieve it. That was for the first time he was doing it with a mobile charger.”
The surgeon tried to remove the wire through the urethra but found it was impossible because it was “knotted inside”.
Ouch!
Instead the man had to go under the knife to have the cable removed.
Ahsan added: “The man has recovered well and is ok now.”
But he won’t be trying that trick again any time soon.
The offending charger is now preserved in a glass jar at an American medical school, with a tag which ‘Unusual foreign body in the urinary bladder’.
