Radiohead confirmed as Glastonbury headliners hours after their logo mysteriously appeared at the festival site
The band's logo was painted for all to see in front of the Pyramid stage and then broadcast via webcam
RADIOHEAD fans will be thrilled to learn that the mysterious appearance of the band's logo, in front of the Pyramid stage area, DID give the game away about the band performing at Glastonbury.
The band are now confirmed as headliners at the world-famous gig in 2017 and will perform on the Pyramid Stage on Friday, June 23rd.
Gossip started to circulate after the showing the festival grounds - with eagle-eyed Glasto-goers spotting two men painting the “angry bear” symbol onto the grass on Wednesday afternoon.
This will be the band’s third time headlining the Pyramid Stage following previous headline appearances in 1997 and 2003.
There have been plenty of 2017 headliner rumours already, including Daft Punk and The Stone Roses but the strange pattern is being mooted as the first possible confirmation of 2017's line-up.
The angry bear is Radiohead's logo
Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien recently told BBC 6 Music he would “love to” reprise the experience.
Ed Said: “I go to Glastonbury every year, it's my carnival.
“To be asked to play at Glastonbury again would be magic. I also think Glastonbury is like our spiritual home. It is the mother of all festivals.
“There is nothing like that one… it would be great to play there.”
