Man fears his excessive SWEAT problem will ruin his wedding – and it’s already playing havoc with his sex life
Jonathon told E4’s BodyFixers that his soaked underarms and dripping forehead are ruining his life
MOST husbands-to-be work up a sweat before their wedding day but one groom is taking it to the extreme.
Appearing on E4’s BodyFixers, Jonathon revealed he is suffering from abnormal perspiration and is desperate to fix the problem before he ties the knot with long-term girlfriend Gemma.
He told the team of experts that his soaked underarms and dripping forehead are going to ruin the marriage photographs – and it’s playing havoc with the couple’s sex life.
Gemma said: “We’re getting married abroad next year and I just feel like it’s really going to get in the way and ruin our wedding.
“I’m really worried it’s going to ruin all the photos. We’re going to have all these memories to look back on and they’re not going to be fantastic.”
Jonathon removed his silky blue bomber jacket to show the beauty professionals his enormous sweat patches.
He said: “I only put this t-shirt on half an hour ago and it’s not even hot today. It’s not comfortable for me.
“It’s more abnormal than anyone else. It looks like I’ve had water chucked in my face. I feel like everyone’s laughing at me. I am the joke. They say it’s good to sweat, but not this much.”
Gemma reveals the pair have decided to get married in Santorini, Greece, in August because it’s where Jonathon popped the question.
The BodyFixers asked how the perspiration affects their bedroom antics.
“It’s not very nice,” said Gemma, while Jonathan added: “It’s dripping in her mouth. It’s her hair!”
The BodyFixers tell Jonathon he is suffering from a condition called hyperhidrosis and send him to Dr Esho.
He said: “Jonathon’s excessive sweating is a very common problem so I’m glad I’ve been brought in today.”
He decides Botox jabs in Jonathon’s underarms and forehead will fix the problem.
“Botox injections block off the nerve impulses which cause sweat production,” he said.
“It’s a simple problem to fix. I usually use Botox to stop wrinkles but I’m using it now to stop sweat.”
Dr Esho gets Jonathon to take his shirt off and begins the procedure while Gemma watches on.
“Is this the most romantic thing he’s done for you?” he joked.
Dr Esho says it’s “one of the worst cases of excessive sweating I have ever seen” but believes Botox will fix the problem.
After the procedure, Jonathon puts on a white shirt and goes to the mirror to check himself out.
“Wow! I have been wearing the shirt all day and there’s no sweat patch!” he said.
Gemma is stunned: “Amazing. The wedding is definitely on.”
Jonathon says he feels like he’s “got my confidence back” and that him and Gemma can now have “clean adult time”.
Previous episodes have highlighted other embarrassing problems including a woman who said she was "too hairy to date."
