Little Mix go from tomboy to trashy … how Britain’s favourite girl band sexed up their look
How the girl group went from X Factor to X Rated
LITTLE Mix unveiled their raunchy new look on this weekend’s X Factor – and were instantly branded “trashy” by outraged viewers.
The girl group – who were put together by the ITV show in 2011 – were compared to “prostitutes” and “strippers” after performing their new single in skimpy outfits and thing length PVC boots.
The foursome – slammed by Mel C this week for being too provocative for her 7-year-old - flashed buttocks and thighs in high-cut leotards which left little to the imagination.
One viewer tweeted: “What's up with little mix dressing like prostitutes on X factor tonight then?”
Parents watching with their kids were angry at the girls’ garb.
One mum wrote: “Watching X Factor with Ewan and Little Mix come out dressed like an Ann summers window display. Really.”
Another wrote: “I love Little Mix but what they're wearing ain't appropriate for a family show.”
So what happened to the self-confessed tomboys who won the nation over and bagged the X Factor crown five years ago?
Back then the four – Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson - preferred jeans and leggings to corsets and kinky boots.
In fact, the raciest they got was a vest top and hotpants, or a cutesy tutu dress.
But, as last night’s performance showed, these girls are all grown up and not in a good way.
So here’s how the foursome went from X Factor to X Rated.
