When is the Great British Bake Off final, how can I host a Bake Off party and where can I watch it?
THE British Bake Off is now down to its last three finals and for many, October 26 will mark a sad, sad day for British television - so make sure you don't miss the momentous show.
Fans of The Great British Bake Off will be filled with mixed emotions as they gather to eagerly enjoy the final episode of this series, in full knowledge that things will never be the same again.
As of next series, our favourite tent will be pitched up on Channel Four taking with it only Paul Hollywood and leaving behind presenters Mel and Sue and judge Mary Berry.
So how do you savour the last few crumbs of Bake Off magic? Here are all the details...
When is it on?
The final will air on BBC1 on Wednesday October 26 at its usual time of 8pm.
Who are the finalists?
After weeks of whittling down the contestants, we're finally down to our final three bakers who've 'proved' they deserve the title of Star Baker.
But for those of you who 'kneed' a little reminding of who is in with the chance to take home the crown, here are the contenders hoping to 'rise' to challenge.
Candice Brown:
From the beginning of the series, P.E. teacher Candice, 31, from Bedfordshire, has cooked up a storm every week both online and on the show.
She's impressed judges enough to become star baker, three times during this year's GBBO, which is more than any other finalist.
Andrew Smyth:
Aerospace engineer Andrew Smyth, 25, from County Down, Northern Ireland, was obviously taught well to bake by his mum and gran.
During this series Andrew has wowed the judges to gain the accolade of star baker twice and he's hoping his ambitious designs will win him top spot once again.
Jane Beedle:
Garden designer Jane Beedle, 61, from Beckenham, South London, has always enjoyed getting her hands dirty in dough from a young age.
And while she has only won star baker one, Jane has consistently performed week on week so while she may be the underdog, she still could pip the others to the post.
How can I host a bake off party?
This is the perfect opportunity to dig out those oven mitts, dust off your grandma’s recipe books and whip up some sweet treats for your nearest and dearest.
If you are marking the memorable occasion with a party, The Great British Bake Off website is a great place to start.
Those helpful people have put together a with invitations and posters for your event.
In addition to the perfect signage we recommend tracking down some vintage looking bunting to complete your marquee style décor.
But the decorations and printed material pale into insignificance in comparison to the main attraction for your event… the cake.
Why not try out The Sun’s recipe suggestions direct from 2011’s Bake Off victor Joanne Wheatley? The winning creations are certain to be crowd pleasers.
Where can I watch it out and about?
