Woman tells mums’ Facebook forum she’s planning to use an ambulance when she goes into labour as she can’t drive…and people are outraged
THERE'S a lot of plan for when you're having a baby.
You need to decide the things you have to buy and what you can do without, come up with a name you love and think of a birth plan.
The last one if probably one of the more important, but it's where one Facebook user has come unstuck.
She has caused a massive debate online after announcing her plans to take an ambulance to hospital when she goes into labour... something which not everyone is on board with.
"I'm due to give birth anytime soon. Me and my partner don't drive an aren't close enough to anyone that does drive," she wrote on the .
"I was planning on getting an ambulance when I go into labour but people are telling me that they won't take me unless its an emergency like I'm bleeding or can see the head
"Now I'm panicky... yes I'm aware I had 9 months to plan but that was my plan... did anyone else have this problem?"
It's not a massive surprise to find out that a lot of women had opinions on this... and they weren't all happy about it.

One summed up the feelings of a lot of users by saying: "I think it's more the fact it shouldn't of been your plan anyway.
"You're right you had 9 months to plan numerous routes or ways etc. ambulances are for emergencies hence emergency service."
Many were stunned that giving birth to a baby could be classed as an emergency, warning she could be taking the service away from someone in desperate need.
"I know that if my son was poorly and needed an ambulance but had to wait because you thought an ambulance would be most convenient for you I would be furious," one woman said.
Another fumed: "Two weeks ago I prolapsed two discs in my spine that trapped my sciatic nerve and rendered me paralysed and screaming in agony.
"I waited, screaming for two hours for an ambulance because they are so terribly short staffed!
"Pay for a b***** taxi, if you can't afford the taxi then you probably can't afford another child!"
Not everyone agreed though, with one mum arguing: "Where I live ambulances take you if your in labour and you have no other way of getting there.
"Your about to push a head thru your vagina love, id say that's kind of an emergency."
A lot of the mums tried to be kind and offer suggestions to help the lady out.
The top one was that she could book a taxi, with tips on how she could make sure nothing embarrassing happened en route.
Among those were that she could take "plastic sheeting" with her or use a pad to guard against mess.
