People’s porn habits are changing… here’s what most Pornhub users are into now

AS far as our porn habits are concerned, there has been a dramatic shift in recent years - and you may be surprised to see how pornographic preferences have shifted.

Every year, Pornhub releases a list of the most commonly searched terms on the saucy site, with some interesting entries cropping up in last year's top ten.

reported that terms such as "milf", "mum" and "mature" have slipped down the list recently, after dominating our desires for the last few years.

And although this preference for older women was strong throughout 2009, 2010 and 2011, mums started to slump in 2012 - when "teen" took the top spot.

Terms like "teen" and "college" are now far more popular than they've ever been, whilst mature ladies have fallen out of favour.

The data from Pornhub, which receives around 43 million visits every day, shows a sudden change in the preferences of its users, but why?

Some theorists claim that the decline of the "milf" may be due to changes in slang language.

The current generation of sexually-frustrated teens was born after the American Pie era - when the term was most prominent.

This could explain why the term is less frequently searched, but it doesn't really explain the rising popularity of "teen" porn, which stars legally-aged adults who are far younger than "mature" pornstars.

One possible reason could be because viewers act out fantasies involving different age groups, meaning that teenagers prefer older pornstars and older viewers prefer younger pornstars.

This explains why teenagers in the early 2000s were so obsessed with "milf" porn, and have now shifted their focus as they grow up and their fantasies change.

Other interesting trends included a rise in the popularity of lesbian porn, which took the top spot in last year's rankings.
And "cartoon" porn performed well too, having risen in the popularity stakes in recent years.
"Squirt" also put in a strong showing for the second year running, and sensual viewers also enjoyed plenty of "massage" porn in 2015.
Most shocking, however, was the dramatic rise in searches for "step mom and son", which rose a whopping 71 places in the search ratings last year.
