Shoppers flock to pick up a piece of Ed Sheeran’s style after the singer donates clothes to charity

HOW much would you pay to own something from your favourite star’s wardrobe?

If you’re an Ed Sheeran fan the answer is probably quite a lot, because clothes he’s donated to a charity shop have been flying off the shelves.

Fans were so keen to see what was on offer they queued outside

The 25-year-old singer donated a dozen bags of old clothes to the St Elizabeth Hospice shop in Framlingham, Suffolk, where he grew up.

They only hit the shelves on Saturday, but the shop has already racked up over £1,000 in sales.

In fact, Ed’s outfits were so popular some people even queued outside the store to make sure they got one.

Of particular interest was a checked shirt he wore in the new Bridget Jones movie, which people have already offered to pay hundreds for.

though, so fans from all over the world are in with a chance of bagging it. You’ll need a pretty penny if you fancy is though – bidding is already at over £500.

He also donated suits he’d worn at the Grammy and Brit awards ceremonies and his ‘Justice for Gingers’ T-shirt.

Rachail Pollard, the shop’s manager, said: “We are delighted that Ed has chosen to donate so many of his clothes to us.

“Over the last few years we have had multiple donations from him and they have proved very popular, with people coming from all over to queue outside the shop to buy them, as well as people all across the globe bidding on the online.”

“We are really grateful to Ed for choosing to support us and we’re sure his clothes will fly out of the shop.”

The store has decided to sell some of the items on eBay so Ed’s fans all over the world can try to get their hands on some of his outfits

Some of the other donations, including the Brits and Grammys suits, are going to be sold via eBay too.

Ed has given clothes to the shop in the past, helping raise £4,000 for charity.

The St Elizabeth Hospice provides specialist care and support to people in Suffolk who have a life-limiting illness.
