NASA have made a statement after rumours claimed they'd issued a new zodiac chart, which changed our traditional signs, because the stars were no longer aligned.

Over the past few days the space agency have been accused of introducing a 13th zodiac called Ophiuchus that shifted the traditional dates of the other 12 star signs.

This meant that if you’re born at the start of March you’d be a Piscean according to the typical guide, but according the reports you’d actually be an Aquarian.

And the reason given for this was because since the dates of star signs were fixed over 2,000 years ago the constellations have slightly shifted meaning your star sign could have changed too.

But for anyone worried about their zodiac sign changing, NASA has confirmed that they haven't issued a new sign and they don't specialise in horoscopes.

also clearly states the difference, writing: "Astronomy is the scientific study of everything in outer space.

"Astronomers and other scientists know that stars many light years* away have no effect on the ordinary activities of humans on Earth.

"Astrology is something else. It's not science. No one has shown that astrology can be used to predict the future or describe what people are like based only on their birth date."
