HOME cooks may be excited to learn that QVC has started selling posh cookware brand Le Creuset.
The French pots and pans made their debut on the shopping channel earlier this month, with a range of items on sale at supposedly knock down prices.
However, The Sun Online can reveal that while it’s still possible to pick up a small number of items in the range sold by QVC could actually cost more than Le Creuset is selling them for.
Popular items, like the Le Creuset signature cast iron round chefs pan 24cm in volcanic are being sold by QVC for £145, £35 less than what Le Creuset sells the same item for online.
Self-confessed chefs can also buy the cast iron roaster in volcanic at a discount of nearly £40 off the original price.
However, anyone picking up a 23cm oval casserole dish in cerise from QVC would actually be spending £10 more than they would if they bought it directly from Le Creuset.
A large utensil jar costs £12 more than it would than buying it directly too.
However, the QVC item also comes with one professional spoon spatula and one medium professional spatula.
These extras usually cost around £14 each - meaning the utensil pot is still a bargain.
The research reminds bargain hunters to be vigilant when shopping for bargains and to always double check prices elsewhere before parting with cash.
QVC declined to comment when it was contacted by The Sun Online.
