HAUNTING pictures that show the abandoned remains of some of America’s most popular places have been revealed in a new book.
Eerie images show the remnants of two formerly stunning theatres left fighting for survival, a derelict ocean liner larger than the Titanic and a massive crumbling asylum.
Other jaw-dropping shots show the shattered remains of what was once the largest mall in the United States and the forgotten beachfront community that was left behind after an access bridge burned.
The spectacular snaps are showcased in American photographer Matthew Christopher’s new book, Abandoned America: Dismantling the Dream.
