SOUTH African cheeky-chappy Caspar Lee has won over a legion of fans online with his hilarious YouTube antics.
But with roles in films and his own clothing line, there's a lot more to this vlogger than meets the eye. Here's all you need to know...
Who is Caspar Lee and what's his background?
Caspar was born on April 24, 1994, in London to parents Jonathan Lee and Emily Riordan Lee but he was raised in Knysna and Durban, South Africa.
He has an older sister, Theodora Lee, who often appears in his videos.
Theodora also has a large social media following of her own, and is known for her courageous honesty.
In a recent YouTube post she revealed what it is like to live with attention deficit disorder.
Caspar recently started dating , who he met on Tinder.
The prolific vlogger filmed himself going on their first date and asked Maddie to do a or "tinder tag" as he called it straight after the date.
Does Caspar Lee have Tourette's Syndrome?
Caspar was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome at the age of six.
In an honest YouTube post the vlogger explained that he had struggled to control the things he said since he was a child.
Tourette’s can manifest itself in a number of different ways, but Caspar explained that initially he would just make sounds that he couldn’t contain.
In the video uploaded to said: “The first time I ever discovered I had Tourette’s was when I was around six years old.
“I was watching TV with my sister and all of a sudden I had this urge to make this snorting noise with my nose.
“I know it sounds ridiculous but I just couldn’t continue to concentrate on the TV show or anything else until I made this noise.
“It was like an itch that just wouldn’t go away.”
Who are Caspar Lee's friends?
He is good mates with fellow vloggers Joe Sugg and his older sister Zoe Sugg aka Zoella.
The South African also briefly lived with YouTube star Alfie Deyes, before Alfie bought a house with his girlfriend Zoella.
Caspar and also Joe shared a flat together in London from 2014 to 2016.
The pair are still really close and often film videos together for their channels.
In a recent prank Joe covered Caspar’s walls in pictures of Caspar and Maddie, but he photo-shopped his own face onto Maddie's body for the hilarious stunt.
When did Caspar Lee start on YouTube?
Caspar started his self-titled YouTube channel in 2011 when he was 16. He started with Dicasp (Director Caspar) before renaming it to just Caspar.
In a Q&A video filmed with his sister Theodora, Caspar revealed that when he first started out there were very few vloggers in operation.
He said that in order to promote his channel, he would print off flyers and put them up around his school campus to try and convince people to subscribe.
What else does Caspar Lee do?
In 2014 Caspar took part in the YouTube Boyband which raised money for Comic Relief.
In 2015 the South African teamed up with best bro Joe Sugg to create the light-hearted travel documentary Joe & Caspar Hit the Road.
The pair travelled more than 1000 miles on a European adventure for the E4 series which was also released on DVD.
That same year duo, along with comedian Alan Carr and former X Factor singer Stacey Solomon, lent their voices for cameos in the UK release of The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
Caspar provided the vocal stylings for a seagull.
Caspar features as a character named Garlic in the comedy movie Spud 3: Learning to Fly alongside YouTuber Troye Sivan.
He released a biography entitled Caspar Lee penned by himself and his mother in May 2016.
He was spotted at V Festival this summer alongside Irish presenter and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Laura Whitmore.
