Crazy conspiracy theory claims Taylor Swift is a CLONE of a former satanic priestess… and social media goes into meltdown
Taylor Swift has been accused of leading an evil cult - and, amazingly, the claim wasn't started by any of her many exes
A CRAZY conspiracy theory has alleged that Taylor Swift was once the leader of a Satanic cult, and the claim has sent social media into a frenzy.
Fresh from her brief relationship with Tom Hiddleston, Taylor Swift has been accused of leading an evil cult - and, amazingly, the claim wasn't started by any of her many exes.
The ridiculous theory alleges that the pop icon led the demonic Church of Satan in the 80's, and all because of her resemblance to Zeena Schreck, a former High Priestess in the cult.
It's true that Taylor Swift has Bad Blood, and the 26-year-old Grammy winner does bear a striking resemblance to the blonde cult leader, who was the High Priestess of the Church of Satan from 1985-1990.
The theory, which first emerged in 2011, has shot to prominence again recently, as a social media frenzy was reignited thanks to Taylor's likeness to the 52-year-old priestess.
The Satanist, who went by Zeena LaVey at the time, rocked the same platinum hairstyle as everyone's favourite serial-dating celebrity, and was often photographed with a similar pout.
But after denouncing the church in 1990, the former High Priestess changed her name and moved to Berlin.
It's fair to say that Everything Has Changed for the former cultist, who now works as an artist, magician and mystic.
However, thanks to a series of stills which have resurfaced online, many Swifties noticed the resemblance, and are asking whether Zeena has really given up the dark arts.
Conspiracy theorists believe that she may have made a pact with the devil to keep her looking youthful and allow her to live out a second life as a pop star.
Other theories claim that the two are related, or that Zeena has somehow been cloned and set loose on the world once again - surely the Wildest Dream of all conspiracy theorists.
The album 1989 could even be a nod to Zeena's cult days, since that was the final year she spent as a High Priestess before she denounced the church.
Although she hasn't commented on the theory either way, Taylor hasn't been all that Swift to Shake Off the rumours... assuming she's Red them yet.
After reports Tupac was still alive and 9/11 wasn't caused by terrorists, this must be one of the strangest conspiracy theories going.
