Girl gets painful wrist tattoo to win back her ex… but it backfired spectacularly when he BLOCKED her on Facebook

Lovesick Mel thought the inking of a Jack playing card and dice would appeal to her gambling-loving former flame - but he wasn't impressed

A WOMAN'S attempt to win back her ex by getting a tattoo on her wrist in his honour backfired spectacularly when he BLOCKED her on Facebook in response.

Lovesick musician Mel, who appears on this week's episode of Tattoo Disasters - What Were They Inking?, told how she decided to get the design of a Jack playing card and a set of dice as her former flame was a big gambling fan.

She told how she was "quite sad and upset" when they split, so she got the tattoo as a "desperate" attempt to entice him back.

Mel, from Essex, explained: "Gambling was the thing he liked to do, so I got a playing card and two dice.

"I stupidly asked one of my friends who bought a tattoo gun to do it for me.

"I was his little guinea pig - but we both sort of just knew that it wasn't a good tattoo.

"I decided to post it online as proof that I really loved him.

"I posted it on Facebook and got blocked straight away.

"After he blocked me I literally think I went home and cried for about three hours. I felt horrible and stupid, really stupid.

"Now I'm stuck with this thing on my arm and he didn't even say thank you."

Now, five years later, Mel can see the funny side but hates the tattoo as it's a constant reminder of him and her heartbreak.

She added: "It's cheap, it's tacky, it's blurry, I just hate it."

The 22-year-old aspiring pop star, who has 11 tattoos, is now worried the inking will have a negative impact on her new relationship, as the dedication to her ex on her wrist really bothers boyfriend Ollie.

He explained: "It's a bit of a constant reminder every time I look at it and go to hold her hand. It's there in your face."

Mel has decided a cover-up is the only way to get rid of the offensive tatt - and this time she's making sure it's done right.

But will it all go to plan?

Tune in to Tattoo Disasters - What Were They Inking tonight at 10pm on Channel Five to see what happens.
