First they launched the emoji sex toy… and now Durex sell an aubergine-flavoured CONDOM

LOVE Emojis? Durex now make a condom just for you.

Following the release an emoji sex toy, global condom manufacturer Durex has decided to create their own ode to emoji – with an aubergine flavoured range of Johnnies.

The brand tweeted an image of the box, which refers to the big purple vegetable as its US name, 'Eggplant'.

The new flavour comes after the hype around the aubergine emoji - which is regularly used to represent a penis while sexting.

Some Twitter users are pretty keen on the flavour idea.  With one user tweeting: "Juas" – which means "wow" in Spanish.

However, others aren't as happy at the prospect.

Previously, Durex launched a campaign to promote safe sex, by lobbying for the introduction of a special condom emoji, after it was found that most 18-25-year-olds are more comfortable using emojis when discussing sex.

Durex is already well-known for its flavoured condoms. They already sell rubbers in fruity-flavours such as apple, banana, chocolate, strawberry, and orange.

Other brands also offer tasty condoms . Skins offers bubblegum flavour, ESP sells a marshmallow variety, and Pasante even has a sweet fizzy cola flavour condom.

We are still waiting to hear when Durex will be bringing out the fantastic new flavour – or whether it's all just a sumptuous PR stunt.

Here’s hoping they hit the shelves soon…
